Ejiro Ikpikpini a youth leader of the ruling party has been killed by some suspected assassins in Delta state, he was reportedly stabbed and strangled at his residence.

The ugly incident was said to have taken place on Sunday, July 22, in Ikpikpini’s resident at Uloho Avenue by men said to be eight in number. The deceased who was the youth leader of the Chief Cyril Ogodo-led executive of Delta state chapter of the APC was stabbed and then strangled by his assailants.
Baraje threatens Confirming the incident, the publicity secretary of his executive, Aghogho Orotoma, said Ikpikpini was killed in his residence on Sunday, July 22.
Also, sources said the assailants who did not take anything away from the scene of the incident stormed Ikpikpini residence at 2.30 am on Sunday.
It was gathered that they assailants went straight to his apartment, stabbed him multiple times before strangling him. A member of the Otor-Iwhreko community executive where the deceased served said the incident might be connected to some lingering issues relating to revenue collection at the Otor-Iwhreko end of Ughelli main market.
The executive who pleaded anonymity said: “There had been a clash between rival members of the revenue committee, which was put in place by elders of the community, to collect money from traders at the main market. “So far, one person has been arrested in connection with the incident, while others are being hunted for questioning,” the executive added.
