The Deputy Speaker, Ibrahim Kurmi, Yobe House of Assembly dies at age 48 on Monday night at the Yobe State University Teaching Hospital.
The legislator was born March 23rd, 1971, started his education in Kurmi primary school in Yobe and also government senior science secondary school in Borno and the University of Maiduguri.
The late deputy speaker served in various capacities at the Yobe State Ministry of Health, before joining politics.
He was re-elected to represent his constituency for the second time in 2015 and was again made the deputy speaker, until his death.
The late deputy speaker was survived by two wives, children and relations.
