The show, which was sponsored by MTN Nigeria, has produced lots of millionaires showing every week on national TV stations in 2014.
For the first time since its inception 13 years ago, organizers of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire have announced the TV show will be going off air indefinitely from 25th June; the show will be temporarily resting at the end of this season.
Frank took to his Instagram page on Sunday, to announce that the Telecommunication giant has pulled out of the show. He says “sadly, we are going on a break because our sponsor pulled out”, but we thank MTN for being with us all these years. Please thank them for us. It is just an indefinite break”.
Though the app version of the show, according to Edoho, will continue, many fans of the show are not happy that the favorite TV show is going off air.
While the show is on break, top players will only win cash and not invited to play in the hot seat until the TV show resumes
He thanks the sponsors and organizers of this programme for staying over the years enriching and impacting lives over the years.
