Senator Shehu Sani of Kaduna Central has declared support for the ASUU indefinite strike – In a Facebook post, he said it was time for dialogue between the union and the government – The ASUU strike has raised a lot of dust among Nigerians both on social media and out of it Senator Shehu Sani in a four-part Facebook post revealed his support for the ongoing Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). He said those who “don’t see anything wrong when leaders flash the images of their sibling’s matriculation or graduation ceremonies in some of the world’s most prestigious or elitist universities” would not see any wrong with the striking lecturers.
The senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani said this is the time for dialogue between key officials and the federal government. He wrote: “First, I wholeheartedly support ASUU strike. Secondly, I call on the Executive to dialogue and meet up the demands of the Union. “Thirdly, the need to declare an emergency on the state of public universities, polytechnic and colleges of education is now.
