For the application of the first dose of COVID 19 vaccine, the total number of vaccinated Nigerians has risen to over 1,101,827 at at 19th of April 2021.
According to the latest data released by the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), led by Dr Faisal Shuaib, at least 1,101,827 Nigerians have been vaccinated with the first dose of the vaccine, in several states in the country.
The proportion of those vaccinated remains at 54.8 precent, as over eleven states are yet to reach the fifty percent target mark of the first dose of COVID 19 vaccine.
The eleven states below the fifty percent target mark are Abia (31.8), Akwa Ibom (36.5), Anambra (28.2), Bayelsa (48.3), Ebonyi (38.8), Enugu (37.7), FCT (44.9), Imo (48.3), Rivers (38.7), Sokoto (34.5), Taraba (31.9).
The progress in the vaccine distribution has been recorded less than three months after the arrival of over 3.6 million doses of the COVID Vaccine into the country.
