The management of a new club house in Bayelsa, club Voltage has threatened to take up legal actions against Nigerian fast rising artist Ayra Starr and her crew Mavin Records.
On the 30th of December 2021, club voltage released a flyer on their Instagram page, publicizing it’s grand opening on the 19th of December 2021, with Ayra Starr as the guest artist. To the disappointment of the club and her fans, Ayra was absent and could not perform for the opening of the club.
Ayra apologized through a video which Club voltage posted on their official social media account. The club explained on its page that Ayra was absent due to circumstances which was beyond her control. After Ayra’s apology, was a promise made by her to appear at the club’s one year anniversary slated for the 5th of January.
On the 5th of January 2022 however, the club still in the spirit of Publicity, released a flyer for its show alongside the expected guest artist Ayra Starr in the early hours of the day. Bringing Bayelsa and expectant fans to a shock, was a public announcement released later into the same day. This release was to inform the general public of the shifting forward of the show, due to the persistent disappointment and breach of contract for the second time from Ayra Starr and her crew Mavin Records.
Club voltage has not taken this lightly, as this blow came even as the agreed fee was paid in full. “We have consulted our legal team and we are taking all legal mercenaries against her and Mavin Records,” Club voltage promises as they tender apologies to their esteemed customers.
Meanwhile, at the time of filing this report, neither Ayra nor her management have responded to this threat.
