Finance Minister Says Nigeria is Likely to go into Recession if COVID-19 Persist

Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Mrs. Zainab Ahmed has stated that the country is likely to slide into recession if the coronavirus pandemic lingers for a period of six months.

She gave this information when she appeared on television, March 27th, 2020.

She said they are hopeful that this pandemic will be reduced in time, if it is an average of three (3) months. The year would be able to close in positive growth, but if it persists longer than that duration, say six months to a year, the country is going to slide into recession.
