Regina Daniel’s husband and billionaire businessman Ned Nwoko has aired his opinion regarding the ban of Twitter in Nigeria.
According to polygamy advocate, he is very much in support of President Buhari’s decision to ban the bird app, Twitter.
Ned Nwoko made this known during a lecture he gave on Democracy Day, the 12th of June. The lecture was organised by the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Abuja Council.
According to Prince Ned Nwoko,
“On the current issue with Twitter in Nigeria, I wholeheartedly support the position of the Federal Government.
“There should be a measure of control and regulation for social media in countries where they have a presence.”
Ned Nwoko went on to stress that social media platforms must pay taxes to the government and also provide employment for some Nigerians in appreciation of the patronage, as over 100 million population of Nigerians readily subscribe to their services.
