INEC removes polling units from churches, shrines, others

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, at least 749 polling units have been removed from inappropriate facilities; shrines, churches, royal palaces, private properties and the rest.

This development was made known by the INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, today in Abuja, at a meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners RECs.

The Chairman stated that from the previous 119, 973 polling units, Nigeria now has 176, 846 full-fledged polling units, ahead of the coming elections.
