Leicester City, won its first FA cup over the weekend, in a game against Chelsea. Following the development, the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, slammed Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi, who are under the winning club, for celebrating with the Nigerian flag after Leicester City were declared winners of this year’s season.
The displeased Kanu, gave an example of Spaniard Gerard Pique who has been campaigning for Catalonia freedom from Spain, pointing out that the duo (both from South East, Nigeria), should follow Pique’s example.
According to Nnamdi Kanu’s tweet,
“Gerard Pique is a World Cup winner with over 103 caps for Spain. He never turned his back against Catalonia freedom. Severally, he has shown open support for Catalan freedom.
“But our Iheanacho & Ndidi with #Zoo flag? Shame! Difference btw White man & his Black counterparts.”

Many Nigerians have condemned the criticism by Nnamdi Kanu, as they state that the players should be left to celebrate in peace.
