MY BIRTHDAY WISH IS TO BE PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA; Yul Edochie @ 40

Nigerian born actor and politician Yul Edochie is 40 years today.

The celebrant who is grateful and excited about his new age, went on social media to wish himself a happy birthday and to reaffirm his desires in a birthday wish.

“Dear God, please make me the President of Nigeria in 2023 so I can wipe away the tears of my people. Thank you Lord for answering my prayer.”

The actor since last year has declared his intention to run for Presidency come 2023.

On the 14 July 2017, Yul declared his intention run for Governor of Anambra State. This declaration was made in anticipation of The Not Too young to run bill passed by the senate of the federal government of Nigeria. The declaration was however made official on the 22nd of August 2017, when he picked up the nomination form of the political party “Democratic People’s Congress” and was eventually the flag bearer and gubernatorial candidate of the party to run for governor of Anambra State.

While the actor clocks 40 today, his first son Kambi celebrated his 15th birthday two days earlier (January 5). Though Kambi is the first son, he is the second child of the actor who has four children; 3 sons and a daughter in his 17 years of marriage.

Yul wrote, “My first son just turned 15. Happy birthday to you Kambi Leo Yul-Edochie. Many more great years I wish you with loads of accomplishments and greatness. May God be with you always. Daddy loves you.” The actor took to his Instagram page to share a picture of himself and his son and reaffirmed his love for his son, whom he showered prayers on.

The Nigerian entertainer Yul Chibuike Daniel Edochie, born 7 January, 1982 and named after popular Russian actor Yul Brynner, is a native of Anambra state in Nigeria. He is the last of six children to the Nigerian veteran actor Pete Edochie and was raised in both Lagos and Enugu state.

At 22, Yul got married to his girlfriend of 6 years May Yul-Edochie, with whom he has 4 children over their 17 years union.

Yul Edochie has made his mark as a seasoned actor starring in multiple Nollywood movies from 2005 with his first film titled “The Exquires” alongside the Late Justice Esiri and Enebeli Elebuwa. He got his break in 2007 after featuring alongside Genevieve Nnaji and Desmond Elliot in the movie “Wind Of Glory.
