50 suspected robbers specialized in operating during traffic logjam, in the past two weeks,have been apprehended by the police in Lagos.
Newsmen gathered that the suspects were nabbed at different locations around Mile 2, Maza Maza, Apple junction and other connecting traffic spots, while attacking motorists held in the traffic congestion.
Others were apprehended in an abandoned pedestrian bridge in mile 2, where they use as their operational base.
The arrest was made following complains about the incessant attacks being carried out by this hoodlums, armed with dangerous weapons, making way with valuables of victims of the attack during the logjam.
This attacks always takes place at evening hours when people will be returning home after work.
It worsens when heavy duty and container trucks have taken over the major roads, subjecting this motorists to exhausting hours in traffic logjam.
Efforts to reach the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Elkana Bala, on the outcome of Police investigation proved abortive as his phone rang out without a response and a text message to his mobile telephone was not responded to as well.
