VIDEO: Arrival of First Batch of COVID Vaccines in Nigeria

The first batch of the Oxford Astrazeneca COVID-19 Vaccine for Nigeria, landed at the cargo wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja earlier today.

Recall that the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, had said on Saturday that the nation will receive its first batch of about 3.92 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccines.

The PTF Chairman, Boss Mustapha; the Minister for Health, Osagie Ehanire; the Minister for Information, Lai Mohammed; the Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Chikwe Ihekweazu and other top government officials, were at the airport to receive the vaccines.

According to the Health Minister, about 70% (percent) of the population is expected to be vaccinated within two years.
